MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018846 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'object transportation assistive device for four-wheeler vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object transportation assistive device for four-wheeler vehicles comprises of a cuboidal body 1 developed to be affixed with rear portion of a four-wheeler, a user-interface for enabling a user to give input commands, a proximity sensor for detecting presence of body 1 in proximity to rear portion, multiple electromagnets 2 for adhering body 1 with rear portion of vehicle, an imaging unit 3 for detecting loading of object in body 1, a set of electromagnetic springs 4 to expand to absorb shock upon sudden loading of object in body 1, multiple telescopically operated rods 5 for positioning multiple omnidirectional wheels 6 in contact with surface for providing support to body 1 to maneuver body 1 on surface along with vehicle, a set of motorized hinges 8 that flips and positions plates 7 at sides of body 1 to prevent object from falling out of body 1."
