According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An on-site oral fluid drug screening device for rapid and reliable detection of narcotic and psychotropic substances, comprising a handheld body 101, a sealed docking port 106 for receiving the oral swab 102 and transferring extracted oral fluid into an inlet chamber 116 through iris holes 117, a pre-processing and metabolite activation module to activate drug metabolites before analysis, a viscosity compensation and droplet generation arrangement to form uniform aqueous droplets encapsulated in an oil carrier 110, a multi-spectral fluorescence excitation and detection module for detecting fluorescence emitted by the droplets, an air pump 105 compresses the plunger 104 upon docking to release saliva into the inlet chamber 116 without external contamination, and a droplet sorting module for routing, classification, and secure storage of analyzed droplets based on detected fluorescence."
