MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055535 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on June 9, for 'optical communication device, and optical device and assembling method therefor.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The embodiments of the present application relate to the field of optical communications. Disclosed are an optical communication device, and an optical device and an assembly method therefor. The optical device comprises an optical interface, a plurality of filters, an optical transmission apparatus and an optical receiving apparatus. The optical transmission apparatus comprises a first laser transmitter, a second laser transmitter and a third laser transmitter, which respectively transmit optical signals in three different communication protocols. The optical receiving apparatus comprises a first optical receiver, a second optical receiver and a third optical receiver, which respectively receive the optical signals in the three different communication protocols. The plurality of filters separate the optical signals in the three different communication protocols, which are imported from the optical interface, and respectively import the optical signals into the first optical receiver, the second optical receiver and the third optical receiver, and the plurality of filters also combine the optical signals of the three different communication protocols, which are transmitted by the first laser transmitter, the second laser transmitter and the third laser transmitter, and import same into the optical interface. Therefore, the optical device can realize simultaneous transmission and receiving of GPON, 10G PON and 50 GPON optical signals."
