MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547067733 A) filed by LS Cable & System Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on July 16, for 'optical fiber ribbon.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Man Su; Lee, Dong Soo; and Yun, Hui Jeong.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an optical fiber ribbon formed from a plurality of optical fibers joined in parallel, wherein each adjacent pair of optical fibers from among the plurality of optical fibers is joined through a plurality of joining areas spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers, and the average horizontal separation strength for separating one pair of optical fibers from each other in the direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers at each of the joining areas is 300 gf or more."
