MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004002 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'outfit selection and showcasing system.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An outfit selection and showcasing system, comprising a body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for providing support to body 1 on ground surface by means of a suction cup 3, plurality of motorized rollers 4 rotates for rotating on its axis to wind and unwind a fabric sheet 5 inside multiple slots 6, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 for determining dimension of user's body for actuating a light projection unit 8 for projecting a light that depicts shape of an outfit that user desires to try, and a touch interactive display panel 9 enabling a user to input details regarding an outfit that user desires to select for actuating rollers 4 for unwinding user specified type of fabric for providing a visual representation of user specified type of fabric on projected image."
