MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547081407 A) filed by Tetra Laval Holdings & Finance S. A., Pully, Switzerland, on Aug. 28, for 'package forming apparatus for a packaging machine and packaging machine for forming packages filled with a pourable product.'
Inventor(s) include Ferrari, Fabio; Orsini, Ivan; and Andrade, Jefferson Luis.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "There is described a package forming apparatus (10) configured to be selectively equipped with one or more transversal sealing devices (23) of a first type and a second type different from the first type. The package forming apparatus (10) comprises at least one operative device (22) comprising at least a carrier (30), a first support portion (31) and a second support portion (32) mounted to the carrier (30) and being movable with respect to one another, a first operative group (24) connected to one of the first support portion (31) and the second support portion (33) and a second operative group (25) connected to the other one of the first support portion (31) and the second support portion (33). If the sealing device (23) is of the first type, the first operative group (24) is fixed to the first support portion (31) and the second operative group (25) is fixed to the second support portion (32) and if the sealing device (23) is of the second type, the first operative group (24) is fixed to the second support portion (32) and the second operative group (25) is fixed to the first support portion (31)."
