MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018777 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'parking assistive device for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pragyan Paramita Pattnaik.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A parking assistive device for vehicles, comprising a platform 101 installed on a ground surface and installed with a chamber 102, initially housed with a pair of plates, plates are connected with each other via plurality of inverted U-shaped extendable members 104 that are developed to cover a vehicle to be parked in front of platform 101, a pair of motorized sliders 105 configured underneath plates for translating and positioning plates outside chamber 102 and towards periphery of platform 101, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 for detecting height of vehicle, a motorized roller 107 that are wrapped with a flexible sheet 108 having free-end attached with adjacent member to unwrap suitable length of sheet 108 in view of covering vehicle."
