MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527070098 A) filed by Wuxi Biohermes Bio And Medical Technology Co. Ltd.; and Wuxi Kas Bio And Medical Technology Co. Ltd., Jiangsu, China, on July 23, for 'patch infusion pump and infusion method.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A patch infusion pump and an infusion method. The patch infusion pump comprises: an infusion tube (2) configured to deliver liquid medications and an infusion assembly (1) which comprises a plurality of valve mechanisms (9) arranged at one side of the infusion tube (2) wherein each valve mechanism (9) comprises a pressing valve (110) a memory metal member (120) and a resetting elastic body (130); the memory metal member (120) is connected to the pressing valve (110); the pressing valve (110) presses the infusion tube (2); the memory metal member (120) is powered on to be able to retract and drives the pressing valve (110) to move in a direction away from the infusion tube (2); after the memory metal member (120) is powered off the pressing valve (110) can be driven by the resetting elastic body (130) to reset to a position at which the infusion tube (2) is pressed; the memory metal members (120) of the plurality of valve mechanisms (9) of the patch infusion pump perform power on and power off operations in a preset sequence so that the infusion tube (2) deforms and negative pressure and positive pressure are successively generated in the infusion tube (2); under a negative pressure operation the infusion tube (2) sucks the liquid medications from a liquid storage mechanism (4); and under a positive pressure operation the infusion tube pumps out the liquid medications to a medication output mechanism (10)."
