MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547096907 A) filed by Veran Medical Technologies, Inc., St. Louis, on Oct. 8, for 'persistent display of biopsy targets.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various aspects of methods, systems, and use cases may be used to generate and display a real-time a composite image, such as in a manner that combines a first US image in which a deep target is within the field of view (FOV) of an EBUS device together with one or more subsequently acquired second US images in which the deep target is no longer within the FOV of the EBUS device. In this way, the EBUS system persistently displays imaged biopsy targets even after the biopsy targets are no longer within the FOV of the US transducer."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/018520.
