MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511060364 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on June 24, for 'personal care irrigation device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Alok; Asad Habib; Dr. Sangeeth Somanadhapai; Arti Sharma; Dr. Sunita Sahish; Dr. Sudip Bhattacharya; Dr. Akanksha; Dr. Deepanshi Saxena; and Dr. Deepti Dwivedi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A personal care irrigation device is comprising, a handheld body 101 configured to hold irrigation fluid, a capacitor sensor for fluid detection inside the body 101, a sensing module 102 mounted inside to analyze fluid readiness and calculate salt content for optimal salinity, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) is configured to monitor the user's head posture during use, an alert unit 103, comprising a plurality of LEDs 103a, a buzzer 103b, and a display panel 103c, notifies the user of fluid readiness and posture correction, a thermoelectric unit 105 regulates fluid temperature before use, a sterilization unit 104 performs post-use cleaning using UV-C light and thermal treatment, a thermo-chromic paint 106 indicates sterilization status, and a plurality of proximity sensors trigger an alarm if presence is detected during sterilization."
