MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019351 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'pet accommodating device for four-wheeler vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sasanka Choudhury.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pet accommodating device for four-wheeler vehicle, comprising a first extendable platform 101 positioned on seat of a four-wheeler vehicle for accommodating a pet animal and installed with a second extendable platform 102, a drawer arrangement 103 extend for accommodating the platforms 101, 102 on the seat and backrest, a suction unit 104 connected with plurality of suction cups for adhering second platform 102 on the seat and backrest, an imaging unit 106 capturing images of the first platform 101 to detect presence of pet,, motorized hinges 109 tilting the members 107,108 to cover the pet between the platforms 101, 102 and sheet, extendable flaps 110 for covering space between the first platform 101 and second member 108 to prevent the pet from getting off the first platform 101 and a microphone 111 enabling the user to give voice commands for accessing the pet."
