MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017925 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'pet barricading device for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Vishnu Prasad Shrivastava.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pet barricading device for vehicles comprising a U-shaped frame 1 to be installed at a back portion of a driver's seat and passenger's seat inside a vehicle, multiple suction cups 3 for affixing the frame 1 with the back portion, an imaging unit 4 for images of capturing images of the inner surroundings of the vehicle, based on which the microcontroller determine presence of the pet, a display panel 11 for displaying real-time images and enabling the user to provide input regarding creation of a barricade between the driver's seat and passenger's seat, a pair of telescopic bars 5 configured with meshed sheet 2 for saccomodating food items for the pet, a chamber 7 for storing a sanitizing liquid, and multiple electronic nozzles 8 attached with the chamber 7 for dispensing the liquid for sanitizing rear seat of the vehicle."
