MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024011 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'pet grooming device.'

Inventor(s) include Vishu Chaudhary.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pet grooming device comprises of, a curved shaped body 1 arranged with the device developed to be positioned on surface, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 2 to determine height of the user, multiple telescopic bars 3 to extend the bar in order to position the body 1 in proximity to the user as per the user determined height, a laser sensor for determining hair length of the pet, multiple telescopic links 4 to extend and position a trimmer 5 for trimming the hair in an efficient manner, a dust sensor for determining presence of dirt over pet's body, a and a primary electronically controlled nozzle 6 for dispensing the solution over the pet's body, a motorized scrubber 8 for rubbing the pet's body with an optimum amount of pressure, and multiple extendable links 9 to extend for positioning the scrubber 8 over the pet's body."
