MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202247022084 A) filed by Se Gi Synthetic Environment Co. Ltd., Jeollabuk, Republic of Korea, on April 13, 2022, for 'photovoltaic power generating apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Yang, Ki Hae; Song, Byoung Soon; and Yang, Jun.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A photovoltaic power generating apparatus comprises: a base; a photovoltaic power generating panel arranged on the base and generating power by using sunlight; and a reflector which is formed on the upper surface of the base to be able to accommodate water, has an accommodating groove defined by a bottom part and a side wall extending from the outer periphery of the bottom part, and reflects sunlight toward the lower surface of the photovoltaic power generating panel via the bottom part or the side wall, the sunlight being refracted according to a refractive index difference between air outside the accommodating groove and water accommodated in the accommodating groove. Therefore, the photovoltaic power generating apparatus can provide sunlight to opposite surfaces of the photovoltaic power generating panel, thereby improving power generation efficiency."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 24, 2021, under International application No.PCT/KR2021/011307.
