MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011278 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'pipe management assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami; and Rohit Kumar Singh Gautam.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipe management assistive device, comprises of an inverted U-shaped frame 1 utilize to mount on a pre-installed spool wrapped with a hose pipe positioned on a ground surface, a pair of clamps 2 configured with the frame 1 for manually mounting the frame 1 on the spool in a secure manner, an artificial intelligence imaging unit 3 positioned on the frame 1 to detect dimension of the spool, a microphone 5 installed on the frame 1 for providing a voice-command regarding length of the pipe, an expandable pulley arrangement integrated with the ring 6 to contract to grip on the pipe, at least six motorized rollers 7 configured at inner periphery of the ring 6 to rotate for translating the pipe in forward direction, and a sliding unit 8 configured between the ring 6 and frame 1 for translating the ring 6 along length of the spool."
