MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020704 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'pipe painting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Anil Kumar Joshi; Shamshad Hussain; Evgeniya Zharikova; and Devyani.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipe painting assistive device, comprises a hollow cylindrical body 1 segregated into compartments 2 ranging from 6 to 8 in numbers for storing different colours of paint in a segregated manner, a touch enabled screen 3 is mounted on the body 1 for entering command regarding colour of paint to done within a pipe, an ultrasonic sensor fabricated on the body 1 for detecting diameter of the pipe, at least two wheels 5 configured at a first portion of the body 1 to rotate for maneuvering the body 1 at one end of the pipe, a corrosion sensor synced with the camera 4 installed on the body 1 for detecting presence of corrosion at inner periphery of the pipe, and an electronic nozzle 11 configured at suitable compartment for dispensing user-entered colour of paint at the inner periphery."
