MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005873 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'pipe securing device for wall hole.'

Inventor(s) include Mohd Arif; Anshu Tomar; and Swati Pathak.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipe securing device for wall hole comprises of a circular frame 1 constructed with a set of curved-shaped extendable plates 2 and having a first 3 and second end 4 developed to be accommodated around a pipe, a microphone 5 for enabling a user to give voice commands, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting diameter of pipe, multiple motorized hinges 7 for positioning first 3 and second ends 4 in contact with each other, a pair of electromagnets 6 for locking first 3 and second ends 4, thus securing frame 1 on pipe, a camera 8 for detecting exact location of hole, multiple miniaturized motorized omnidirectional wheels 9 for maneuvering and positioning frame 1 within hole, multiple inflatable members paired with an air compressor that inflates members in view of stabilizing pipe within hole, thus preventing any chances of undesired motion of pipe."
