MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025458 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'pipeline securing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipeline securing assistive device, comprising a rectangular platform 1 positioned on a ground surface near a pipeline, multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 move platform 1 on surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 evaluates a 3D (three-dimensional) mapping and displayed on a touch interactive display panel 4 for enabling user to select a portion of surface where pipes needs, a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 5 positions a motorized roller 6 for unwinding sheet from roller 6, a first robotic arm 7 via an electric glue gun 8 pours adhesive liquid on pipe, two robotic grippers 9 positions sheet over pipe to position sheet over pipe, two second robotic arms 10 position nails on edges of sheet, a hammering unit providing thumping movement on positioned nails to insert nails at edges, two third robotic arm 12 via a motorized cutter 13, trims extra sheet."
