MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079371 A) filed by Kabushiki Kaisha Riken, Tokyo, on Aug. 21, for 'piston ring and piston ring combination.'
Inventor(s) include Oshimi Keiichi; and Ishikawa Masahiro.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This piston ring is to be mounted on the piston of an internal combustion engine. The piston ring is equipped with: a main body section which has an inner-circumferential surface, an outer-circumferential surface, and one lateral surface and another lateral surface which intersect the inner-circumferential surface; and an abutting section formed from a pair of abutting end sections which face one another. The torsion angle of the piston ring in a prescribed measurement state is a value which is the same across the entirety of the piston ring in the circumferential direction from one of the abutting end sections to the other."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 31, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/003054.
