MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074471 A) filed by Daifuku Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on Aug. 5, for 'plant cultivation method and cultivation system.'
Inventor(s) include Washio Naoki; Matsumoto Rika; Kita Nobuyuki; Yajima Hiromu; and Anno Kanji.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a plant cultivation method suitable for growing plants in a plant factory and also enabling the acquisition of fruits with good quality. The plant cultivation method includes: growing the plants from seeds by hydroponics from germination to before fruit formation, i.e., until a predetermined medium switching time; and, when the medium switching time comes, moving the plants to a medium where a foamed brick stone is used as a planting material and continuing growing the plants by hydroponics."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 19, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/033974.
