MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011081 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'plant supporting device.'

Inventor(s) include Deepshikha Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plant supporting device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on ground surface, and mounted with a camera 2 for detecting plants present in surrounding, a touch enabled screen 3 for allowing a user to select a plant, a laser acuity sensor for detecting dimension of plant, four wheels 4 for positioning platform 1 near plant, a pair of extendable clamps 5 mounted on platform 1 for gripping plant along for supporting plant, an anemometer 6 arranged on platform 1 for detecting direction and speed of wind, based on which platform 1 are positioned in opposite direction, a thermal imaging camera 7 for detecting presence of insect/pest, an electronic sprinkler 8 for spraying chemical for eliminating insect, a leaf sensor for detecting presence of moisture in leaf, an electronically controlled valve 10 for dispensing water on plant, a telescopically operated cutting unit 12 mounted on platform 1 to cut leave."
