MUMBAI, India, Sept. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311020719 A) filed by Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2023, for 'plantation assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ravindra Kumar; and Suraj Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 27, under issue no. 39/2024.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plantation assistive device, comprising of a platform 1 developed to be positioned in proximity to a crop field, a cushioned member 2 for allowing a user to attain prone posture on platform 1, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 3 for capturing images of field in order to generate a 3D (three-dimensional) mapping of field, a touch interactive display panel 4 to display mapping, plurality of motorized wheels 5 for providing movement to platform 1, a chamber 6 for storing various gardening tools, a motorized lid 7 for opening to allow user to withdraw a desired tool to dig, a compartment 8 for storing various plants, a tray 9 for withdrawing a plant to allow user to plant within hole, a touch sensor for detecting withdrawal of plant, a motorized conveyor 10 for providing movement to plants, and a moisture sensor for detecting moisture content within surface."
