MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517084486 A) filed by Arkema France, Puteaux, France, on Sept. 5, for 'polymer processing aids for polymer extrusion.'
Inventor(s) include Weaver, Keith; David, Althouse; Mcdonough, John; Tobin, Lori; Pineau, Quentin; and Reyna-Valencia, Alejandra.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polymer composition comprising a matrix polymer (A) and a polymer processing aid (B), wherein: - (d polymer (B) - d matrix polymer (A)) =2.0 (J1/2.cm-3/2), preferably 3.0 (J1/2.cm-3/2), d being the solubility parameter calculated according to Fedor method, and - the melt viscosity ratio of polymer (B) over matrix polymer (A) is less than 0.30, preferably less than 0.20, the melt viscosity being measured by capillary rheometry at 210 C and a shear rate of 100 s-1."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/056709.
