MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067566 A) filed by Park, Heedae; and Sam Bu Fine Chemical Co. Ltd., Busan, Republic of Korea, on July 15, for 'polyurethane foam composition containing tpu powder and method for manufacturing shoe insole using same.'
Inventor(s) include Park, Heedae.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a polyurethane foam composition containing a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) powder and a method for manufacturing a shoe insole using same, wherein an eco-friendly polyurethane (PU) foam composition using water foaming contains a predetermined amount of a TPU powder with an average particle size of 50 to 300?, so when a polyurethane foam sheet formed therefrom is placed in a mold and processed into a shoe insole shape by a heat press, the process time required for molding in the mold is halved, and thus the productivity of products can be significantly improved and high energy expenses can be reduced."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/014559.
