MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058601 A) filed by Hyosung Tnc Corporation, Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 18, for 'polyurethaneurea elastic yarn with excellent heat resistance and resilience, and manufacturing method therefor.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polyurethaneurea elastic yarn composed of a polymer of a polyol and a diisocyanate, the method comprising: using a polyol and a diisocyanate so as to prepare a prepolymer having a capping ratio (CR) of 1.30-1.65; and adding trimethylolpropane in the amount of 0.2-5.0 wt% on the basis of the weight of a polyurethaneurea yarn. The present invention relates to: a polyurethaneurea elastic yarn having improved heat resistance and resilience while maintaining stretching properties (elongation); and a manufacturing method therefor."
