MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006617 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'portable food grilling device.'

Inventor(s) include Gagandeep Singh; Mandeep Singh; Avneet; Khushi; and Nakul.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable food grilling device comprises of a wearable unit 1 worn by a user on user's back, a frame 2 having a first 3 and second end 4 where first end 3 rests at user's back for supporting frame 2 on user's body, a multi-sectioned body 7 for storing food items which are to be grilled, a multi-sectioned chamber 8 attached with multiple sticks 9 which are accessed by user for engaging food items, an imaging unit 10 for determining kind of engaged food items, a heating coil 11 to grill food items, some sections of chamber 8 are deposited with coal particles that are illuminated by user to ignite a flame, a color sensor for monitoring color of grilled food items and a motorized ball and socket joint 12 to rotate sticks 9 for turning portion of food items in order to evenly grill food items."
