MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020700 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'portable jewelry storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Sahdev Singh; Vikas; Deepa Rana; and Preeti Garg.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable jewelry storage device, comprising tow plates 1 hinged together for tilting plates 1, plurality of rectangular members 3 attached with plates 1 and each attached with a hook 4 for hanging jewelries, a circular disc 5 crafted with a slot 6 for storing non-hanging jewelry, an elongated flap 7 configured underneath each hook 4 via a motorized secondary hinge joint 8, which deploys flaps 7 for gripping hanging jewelry on members 3, a motorized iris lid 9 gets closed for preventing jewelry items from falling out, a telescopically operated gripper 10 pulls a stretchable sheet 11 and stretches sheet 11 till bottom members 3, a camera 13 captures images of jewelry which is displayed on a touch enabled screen 14 to allow user to select jewelry required, an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light 15 configured on each member 3 get illuminated for guiding user to collect jewelry."
