MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019412 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'portable object fastening/unfastening assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable object fastening/unfastening assistive device, includes a frame 1 positioned in proximity of multiple objects pre-placed, a handle 2 developed to be accessed by user integrated with the frame 1, a speaker 3 embodied on the frame 1 to notify user to position two plates 4, 5 attached with the frame 1 in between multiple objects, a touch sensor mapped on second plate 5 to sense contact of the second plate 5 to object, an inbuilt microcontroller embedded on frame 1 connected via communication module to a computing unit 6 acting as a user interface for inputting details and type of operation, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 mounted on frame 1 to determine positioning of multiple objects, a hydraulic actuator 8 positioned in between two plates 4, 5 to detach objects as communicated by the user via computing unit 6."
