MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019827 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'portable polybag storage assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pragyan Senapati.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable polybag storage assistive device, comprises of a cylindrical body 101 constructed with plurality of flexible plates 102 stacked over each other developed, plurality of suction cups arranged on peripheral portion of base of the body 101, a microphone 103 for enabling a user to provide input voice commands for deployment of body 101, an imaging unit 104 to determine dimensions of polybag, an expandable pulley arrangement to increase/decrease dimensions of body 101, a pair of motorized clippers 105 installed on body 101 each by means of a telescopically operated arm 106 to acquire a grip of polybag, a pair of robotic arms 107 installed on body 101 to position the clamps in proximity to a chamber 108 storing tying straps/zippers arranged on the body 101, a red LED light 109 for alerting user to remove some of commodities."
