MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011186 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'portable resting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Niranjan Nayak.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable resting device, comprises of a pair of circular plates 101 having a motorized primary roller 102 attached between the plates 101, for containing a spool cushioned sheet 103 providing a comfortable resting surface to a user, multiple suction cups 104 for enabling an affixing of the plates 101 on a ground surface, a microphone 110 for giving voice commands regarding deploying chair, a pair of telescopic rods 108 mounted underneath the flap 105 for supporting the flap 105 in a horizontal position, an imaging unit 109, installed on the flap 105 determine mosquitoes in the vicinity, and a motorized secondary roller containing a spool of a mesh fabric, attached between plates 101 attached to ends of a pair of telescopic links mounted horizontally with lateral edges of the secondary roller for extending the mesh fabric onto the sheet 103, for providing protection against mosquitoes to the resting user."
