MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421080050 A) filed by Dr. Satishchandra Ramakant Gore; and Dr. Suneeti Satishchandra Gore, Pune, Maharashtra, on Oct. 21, 2024, for 'portable system for non-invasive retrograde nerve pacing in extremity pain and process therefor.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a portable system, wearable versions thereof, and a process for non-invasive retrograde nerve pacing for use in alleviating pain. The portable system includes a portable neuropacer comprising of pulse generator that generates electric pulses when coupled to a power source, and electrodes wired to the pulse generator to facilitate in transmission of the electric impulses therefrom to a patient, when the electrodes are affixed on the patient via adhesive backing. The portable system further includes a remote controller configured with a web application to facilitate control operation of the pulse generator remotely. The portable system is wearable, and the process facilitates in nerve modulation of the targeted nerves- dorsal radial in upper limb and deep peroneal and sural branch of sciatic nerve in lower limb at distal ends thereof, to relieve neuralgia in cervical or lumbar spondylosis."
