MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007492 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'portable tile surface levelling device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable tile surface levelling device, comprises of a rectangular frame 1 having a first and second portion, positioned by a user at a junction point of two successive tiles, a sensing module 3 installed on the frame 1 for detecting spacing between the tiles and levelling of the tiles, a holographic projection unit 4 mounted on the frame 1 for projecting a holographic image on the surface in order to notify the user to position a first and second jaw 5 attached with the second portion over the clip and wedge, a trigger 6 attached with the handle 2 to provide input regarding initiation of levelling, a motorized sliding unit 7 arranged on the second portion for providing movement to the jaw 5, and an imaging unit 8 installed on the frame 1 to determine presence of any obstacle in proximity to the frame 1."
