MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013257 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'portable wheel stopper system.'
Inventor(s) include Rajani Misra.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a portable wheel stopper system, comprising a platform 1 installed over rear axle rod of a vehicle, multiple plates 2 configured within the platform 1 to adjust the platform 1 with dimension of axle rod, multiple suction cups 3 attached over the platform 1 to establish a grip the platform 1 with the axle rod, a primary lifting arrangement 4 attached beneath the platform 1 to deploy a pair of C-shaped members 5 in alignment with tires of the vehicle, a secondary lifting arrangement 6 configured between the members 5 for allowing the members 5 to accommodate the tires and a pair of wheels 7 attached over each of the members 5 to deploy the wheels 7 in case the vehicle is losing control."
