MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018889 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'portable wire covering device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Bed Prakash; and Rajesh Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable wire covering device comprises of a pair of plates 1 is attached with a handle 2 for providing grip to the user, a proximity sensor mapped on plates 1 for detecting accommodation of wire between the plates 1, a motorized hinge joint 12 configured between the plates 1 for closing of plates 1, a display panel 3 assembled on plates 1 provides input details regarding a length of wire, a holders 5 assembled on plates 1 for placing a pair of tape roll 6, a motion sensor for detecting movement of plates 1, a motorized sliding unit 7 assembled on plates 1 for providing rotational motion to the roll 6, an imaging unit 8 for detecting images of wire, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting length of wire covered with tape and a motorized cutter 9 connected with plates 1 via a robotic link 10 for cutting tape."
