MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517094540 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 1, for 'positive electrode active material, and positive electrode and lithium secondary battery comprising same.'
Inventor(s) include Han, Gi Beom; Park, Kang Joon; Lee, Youshin; Lee, Jaeyoung; Park, Byungchun; and Park, Sin Young.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material comprising an overlithiated manganese oxide represented by chemical formula 1, with a sulfur content of 4,000 ppm or more on the basis of the total weight of the positive electrode active material as measured at the surface, a method for manufacturing same, and a positive electrode and lithium secondary battery, each containing same."
