MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517023482 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on March 17, for 'positive electrode for all-solid-state battery, and all-solid-state battery comprising same.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Choonghyeon; Kim, Taegon; Kim, Myeongsoo; Kwon, Hyejin; and Song, Min Sang.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a positive electrode for an all-solid-state battery and an all-solid-state battery comprising same. More specifically, in the present invention, the positive electrode active material layer includes a positive electrode active material, a sulfide-based solid electrolyte, a conductive material, and a porous carbon additive. By allowing the particle diameter of the porous carbon additive to be included between the particle diameter of the positive electrode active material and the particle diameter of the sulfide-based solid electrolyte, the interface between the positive electrode active material and the sulfide-based solid electrolyte can be increased and at the same time the porosity of the entire positive electrode can be reduced, thereby exhibiting the effect of increasing the energy density of a cell without decreasing the cell performance while maintaining the conductivity of a bipolar electrode."
The patent application was internationally filed on July 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/009560.
