MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311080000 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited, New Delhi, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'potential transformer support arrangement in gas-insulated switchgear.'
Inventor(s) include Singh, Rakesh Kumar; Rajhans, Rupesh Subhashrao; Ahire, Pritesh Bhila; Behura, Rajesh Kumar; Dachewar, Kshitij Rajesh; and Daware, Chetan Gangadhar.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a support arrangement (100) of potential transformer in gas-insulated switchgear. The support arrangement includes a support bracket (104) of the potential transformer that is mounted on a cable chamber (106). A plug flange (112) is accommodated in welded assembly of tank, the plug flange is adapted to support the potential transformer. A mounting stud (306) is accommodated on the plug flange, a bottom support plate (308) is fixed to the mounting stud (306), wherein cut-out is provided on the bottom support plate for secondary winding wiring so as to restrict the upward and downward motion and to and fro motion of the potential transformer keeping it firm on its position. The bottom support plate is tightened to provide contact pressure to avoid the development of air gaps."
