MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019852 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'pottery objects lifting and handling assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pottery objects lifting and handling assistive device, comprising a C-shaped body 101 with a pair of extendable C-shaped members 102 having a handle, gripped by a user for positioning in proximity to base of a pottery object, a microphone 103 enabling a user to provide input voice commands regarding requirement of assistance in lifting a pottery object from a rotary wheel, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 determine dimensions of base, an optical detects alignment of body 101 with respect to object's base, plurality of motorized pop out balls 105 rotate for correctly aligning body 101 with object's base, plurality of flaps 106 by means of plurality of telescopically operated links disengages object from rotary wheel, and a pair of cushioned plates by means of an extendable rod support lateral sides of objects for allowing user to securely lift object from one place to another."
