MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517081156 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Aug. 27, for 'power control device, vehicle, and power control method.'
Inventor(s) include Shuto, Kenta; and Amagai, Taro.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This power control device controls transmission of power between a plurality of batteries connected in parallel and a load, and comprises: a power synthesis unit that synthesizes power output from the plurality of batteries; and a power control unit that controls the output of power from each of the plurality of batteries and controls the drive of the load by means of a power output from the power synthesis unit. The power control unit determines a power value that each of the plurality of batteries is caused to output, through: a setting step for setting, for each of the plurality of batteries, a power limit value for limiting the output of power, on the basis of temperature information of each of the plurality of batteries; and a distribution step for distributing a required power value required for driving the load among the plurality of batteries such that the power value output from each of the plurality of batteries does not exceed the power limit value."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008269.
