MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005868 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'power steering pump testing device.'

Inventor(s) include Anikate Kumar; Vikasdeep Mann; and Praveen Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A power steering pump testing device, encompasses a platform 1 with suction- cup 3 positioned over a ground surface, a holder 4 on platform enables a user to place a pump that is to be tested, a touch sensor ensures proper positioning of pump, pair of motorized clamps present on holder 4 secure the pump, a speaker 5 provides voice instructions for connecting conduits between the pump inlet, oil reservoir 6 outlet, pump outlet, and steering box 7 inlet, all on the platform 1, a display panel 8 on platform 1 allows the user to activate or deactivate the testing of pump, a pair of motorized belt drives 9 compress oil, sending the oil to the steering box 7, where pressure sensors at the pump's inlet and outlet monitor pressure levels and if the detected pressure deviates from standard limit, the speaker 5 alerts the user to a pump malfunction."
