MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411030231 A) filed by Cnh Industrial Technology Services Private Limited, New Delhi, on April 15, 2024, for 'power take-off shaft protection system.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention describes a power take-off (PTO) protection system (100) for tractor comprising a PTO shaft (104), a drive shaft (108) of an implement connected to the PTO shaft (104) through a universal joint (UJ) (106), and a flexible cover unit (114) configured to adjustable in length to accommodate variations in the PTO shaft length and to cover the PTO shaft (104). The flexible cover unit (114) have two opposing ends, a first end of the flexible cover unit (114) magnetically coupled on a surface of tractor, and a second end of the flexible cover unit (114) magnetically coupled on the implement during the operation. The magnetic coupling is a magnetic lock (116), the magnetic lock (116) is configured to perform locking and unlocking mechanism to secure the flexible cover unit (114) during the operating state."
