MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010369 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 31, for 'pre-and-post laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis procedure scanning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pre-and-post laser-assisted in situ Keratomileusis procedure scanning device, comprises of a circular frame 101, a worm gear drive to enable rotation of scanning components on the rails 102, a spatial augmented reality holographic projector 103 to project visuals to patient and a doctor, an optical coherence tomography (OCT) module to create high-resolution cross-sectional images of the cornea and retina, a tear film analysis to resolve dry eye post LASIK procedure, a LED screen 107 for providing visuals instructions of personalized lubrication schedules, a printer 113 to enable printing of medical images that generated during scanning, a pair of silicon eye patches 108 for determining the dynamic movement of the eye during palming exercises, a user interface for enabling patients and authorised doctors to input and access information related to the procedure, a microphone 114 for voice based interaction, and a speaker 115 generating instructional audio guidance."
