MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421015914 A) filed by Dr. Hireni R Mankodi; and Shiza Shashikant Parmar, Vadodara, Gujarat, on March 6, 2024, for 'preparation of fiber combination in laminates.'

Inventor(s) include Shiza Shashikant Parmar; and Dr. Hireni R Mankodi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a basalt fiber reinforced laminated and a preparation method thereof, wherein basalt fiber fabrics are used as base materials, a high-temperature-resistant epoxy resin compound system is used as an adhesive, and the preparation method of the basalt fiber reinforced laminated composite material has the advantages of simple preparation process. The use of new basalt fibers instead of glass fibers in composite laminates for radome is the excellent transparency of the radar and eco-friendly properties."
