MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441038098 A) filed by Pranatharthiharan Surianarayanan; and R. Sakthi Bhuvaneswari, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 15, 2024, for 'process, and fire chamber based thereupon, for smokeless burning of combustible materials.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a chamber (07) for smokeless burning of a combustible material (06). Said chamber comprises a fire chamber made of perforated material being raised above surface of the ground. The chamber is provisioned with a removable rack to be received atop the base of said chamber for placement of the materials to be burned. Additionally, the chamber is provisioned with a removable ashtray to be received beneath the base of said chamber for collecting and removal of ash left after burning of the combustible material. Construction of the device thus provided creates a venturi effect which draws air from the bottom to raise from the top, therein promoting good airflow and ensuring there is sufficient space between logs or materials being burnt, allowing air to circulate around said materials."
