Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Process' Filed by Assembly Biosciences, Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Dec. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202417037593 A) filed by Assembly Biosciences, Inc., San Francisco, on May 13, for 'process.'

Inventor(s) include Johnson, Mark; Wallace, Michael; Lagoutte, Roman; and Beaud, Rodolphe.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 6, under issue no. 49/2024.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure generally relates to methods of synthesizing compounds useful as modulators of hepatitis B virus core protein assembly as well as novel synthetic intermediates. The methods disclosed may be used in the manufacture of compounds which may have allosteric effector properties against hepatitis B virus (HBV) core protein (Cp), a protein found as a dimer, a multimer, and as the protein shell of the HBV core. As one example, provided herein is a process for preparing compounds which may be useful for treating viral infections, such as hepatitis B."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 19, 2022, under International application No.PCT/IB2022/060056.
