Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhupesh Kumar; Dr. Chetankumar Chinke; and Dr. Meenakshi Thakur.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a novel process for enhancing the antitoxic efficacy of traditional Ayurvedic Agada formulations. The process integrates Ayurvedic detoxification principles with modern pharmaceutical and phytochemical techniques to improve bioavailability, stability, and therapeutic action against a broad spectrum of toxins. The method comprises the selection and authentication of medicinal herbs with antitoxic properties, purification of raw materials through Ayurvedic Shodhana methods, extraction of bioactive constituents using optimized solvent systems, and the incorporation of natural bioenhancers such as piperine. Furthermore, the formulation process employs nanoformulation technologies including liposomal encapsulation and nanoemulsion systems to improve delivery, absorption, and target specificity. The enhanced formulation is standardized using chromatographic profiling and evaluated for safety, efficacy, and reproducibility. The invention expands the utility of Agada formulations to treat modern-day toxic exposures such as heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceutical residues, and environmental pollutants, while preserving their classical Ayurvedic integrity."
