MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095258 A) filed by Basf Se, Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, on Oct. 3, for 'processing a primary product into a secondary product.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method (100) for processing a primary product (A) into a secondary product (C), including the steps: providing (S15) a primary product (A); providing (S1) access to a database (3) configured to include multiple data structures (4); processing (S19) the primary product (A) into a distin- guishable quantity of a secondary product (C) by a processing device (11); generating (S20) a report by a state reporting device (14) associated with the processing device (11), said report being indicative of a processing state during the processing step (S19); generating (S28) an unique object identifier indicative of said distinguishable quantity obtained during said pro- cessing step (S19); generating (S29) a data structure (4) having one data item (5) holding the object identifier and one data item (5) holding said report; generating (S64) a status indicator in- dicative of a current status of a variable factor of the distinguishable quantity indicated by the object identifier, wherein the current status is at least one selected status of a group consisting of: an expected production date, a storage location, an ownership, a reservation, an intended disposition, an intended usage, a percentage of remaining quantity, an actual disposition, an ac- tual usage, and a price; and setting (S65) a data item (5) of the data structure (4) associated with the secondary product (C) such that it holds said status indicator; adding (S67) into the da- tabase (3) the data structure (4) associated with the distinguishable quantity of the secondary product (C); and providing (S52) said distinguishable quantity."
