MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096636 A) filed by Lenovo (SINGAPORE) Pte. Ltd., Singapore, on Oct. 7, for 'provisioning ue policy when a ue is attached in an evolved packet system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a first network function in a first mobile communication network, the first mobile communication network supporting connectivity in an Evolved Packet System (EPS) access that has an active policy association for a UE with a second network function, the first network function comprising: at least one memory; and at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory. The processor is configured to cause the first network function to: receive a first request comprising an active policy association request including a UE Policy Container; determine to trigger a UE Policy Delivery to the UE the determination based on the UE Policy Container received in the first request; and trigger a PDN-GW Bearer Modification without QoS update by sending a second request to a second network function wherein the second request is an Update Bearer Request that includes the UE Policy Container within a Protocol Configuration."
