MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067394 A) filed by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (PUBL), Stockholm, on July 15, for 'pt-rs enhancement for more dmrs ports.'
Inventor(s) include Gao, Shiwei; Nilsson, Andreas; and Muruganathan, Siva.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In one embodiment, a method performed by a User Equipment (UE) comprises, for each of one or more Resource Blocks (RBs) allocated for a configured Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PT-RS) port, determining a PT-RS subcarrier offset for the PT-RS port from a table based on a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) port associated to the PT-RS port, a DMRS configuration type, and a resource element offset parameter configured for the UE. The associated DMRS port is one of a plurality of DMRS ports. Each row of the table is associated with one DMRS port and defines different PT-RS subcarrier offsets for a PT-RS port associated to that DMRS port for different resource element offset parameter values for at least one DMRS configuration type. The method further comprises, for each of the allocated RBs, transmitting/receiving a PT-RS on the PT-RS port in the RB in accordance with the determined PT-RS subcarrier offset."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/IB2023/062715.
