MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018774 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'public transport food distribution device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Seshadev Sahoo.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A public transport food distribution device, comprises of a rectangular base 101 having multiple suction cups 102 to mount over roof surface of a public transport vehicle, two sliding units 103 mounting plurality chambers 104 along a length of a bottom surface of the base 101 via double rack gear mechanisms 105, a food freshness sensor detects a freshness of food placed in the chamber, a speaker 106 mounted on the chamber to alert regarding discarding the food if the food is detected to be stale, an imaging unit 107 determines position of a passenger, a primary Peltier unit installed in each of the chambers 104 to maintain a temperature of the food, a container 108 containing ice cubes configured with a pneumatic pusher 109 is provided horizontally within the container 108 for pushing of an ice out of the container 108 via an opening of the container 108."
